La tipografia di Manuzio prosegue dopo la sua morte per mano del suocero e dei cognati, e più tardi degli eredi diretti. Altri stampatori e altri maestri di greco sviluppano nel frattempo l’editoria per la didattica, a Venezia, così come nei due altri poli principali, Roma e Firenze.
Manutius's enterprise was continued after his death by his father- and brothers-in-law, and later by his direct descendants. Meanwhile, other printers and Greek teachers developed publishing for teaching purposes, in Venice as well as in two other prominent centres, Rome and Florence.
